As Executive Vice President of Engineering, Haran leads our global Engineering organization as we develop innovative products and technologies that align with our customers’ needs, drive Service efficiency, help our business grow, and continue to shape the future of our industry. To support the transformation of our products and services, which have increasingly sophisticated electronics, connectivity and software content, Haran is also driving a transformation of our many technical competencies – expanding our engineering capabilities, implementing common designs and modularity, enhancing connectivity and data analytics, and transforming our digital eco-system to support growth in New Equipment, Service and modernization.

His rich experience in Engineering and Operations roles spans across 25 countries. For more than three decades, Haran has led strategy, teams and programs associated with digital connected products and embedded systems at a global, regional and operating unit level. He played a critical role in the ongoing enhancements of our versatile and bestselling family of Gen2® elevators, providing the foundation for subsequent product innovations including our Otis ONE™, Gen3™ and Gen360™ platforms. He also spent time running product development programs in Engineering, and partnering with teams across all Otis’ geographic regions.

Haran holds an MBA in strategy, marketing and finance from Carnegie Mellon University as well as a master’s degree in electrical, electronics and communications engineering.
